Yes, it's that time again...
Now this was one crazy game. As I reached almost the exit without loosing any men I couldn't imagine to get killed in the last fight. Still a good and fun game.
Had a great time finishing these minis. They are from GZG and Khurasan. No way they wouldn't appear in my latest issue! ;-) The board tiles are from the Doom board game.
Rules are mostly 5150 SA. I tried 5150 NB but got too confused while playing so I switched back to 5150 SA.
Hope it wasn't too long a read.
Thanks!
BRUTPAUL

Wow brutpaul, this is an amazing batrep!
AntwortenLöschenThat was a great batrep!. Beautiful pics, minis, and terrain. Very excting. I thought you were going to make it. Isn't that a bitch?
AntwortenLöschenThank you guys!
AntwortenLöschenI played this scene a couple of times before taking any pics. I hardly survived once. What counts to me is that I had fun and an excuse to take pics of my newest minis.
I can't see anything at he moment but that could be just me......
AntwortenLöschenAlternativly you can look here http://s778.photobucket.com/albums/yy66/brutpaul/MAM%2012/
LöschenVery nice report, and some effective painting on your minis too. Well done!
AntwortenLöschenGreat minis and GREAT after action report!
AntwortenLöschenThat was a great report. I truly love the comic book style and it did not seem overly long. The figs look great and it's good to know it was the Doom board game, I thought it might be Space Hulk. Are you using straight 5150:SA? I know you mentioned new beginnings, it just seemed like the PEF's might have been generated like Zombies in ATZ.
AntwortenLöschenThe blips are from space hulk. On their backside you have 1,2 or 3 xenos showing up. Really simple. To get them on board I used a D12 as I had 12 sections. And when doubles showed up with the dice I had one of the 12 doors opening or closing. For the rest I used 5150SA because it's faster (less detail) then 5150NB.
AntwortenLöschenlots of fun!
AntwortenLöschenGreat report. What a fun read. The xeno minis are fantastic. I figured the strike team was in the clear...what a bit of bad luck running into so many blips just before the exit. Awesome job!!!
AntwortenLöschenGreat game report.
AntwortenLöschenAwesome report! It's been like watching a film. I can't wait for another delivery :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you, I already have a few ideas how to move on with the story but real life is really a bitch at the moment ;(
AntwortenLöschenGreat report. Loved the comic book approach.
AntwortenLöschenI really enjoyed the game report, Brutpaul! It reminded me of the old Space Hulk as others have said, but you seemed to have more fun with it than I ever did! Thanks for posting!
AntwortenLöschenGlad that you like it! I just discovered your blog. Great stuff!
LöschenThanks very much, and thanks for taking the time to look in. I really would like to get hold of some of those floor tiles, but I don't want to buy the whole Doom game! Ah well......
LöschenWow! What a great way to bring to life your batrep! What application did you use to create the comic strip? Liking the space hulk look :-)
AntwortenLöschenThank you, I used a little program called "Comic Life".
LöschenI showed my daughter the comic strip and she's interested in using the program, so thank you :-) (it won't be miniatures she'll be photographing - monster high dolls!! Though she did say something about having zombies in the shots!!)
